Disabled Artisans’ Fair

PAS Niamey organized a Bazaar and an exhibition of products made by disabled artisans  in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  The event was attended by the U.S. Ambassador to Niger, the Minister of Professional and Technical Education and other persons from diverse sectors.  This bazaar and exposition of products made by disabled artisans is an activity promoting equality and inclusion of persons with disabilities as part of mission strategic goals and objectives of disability -inclusion diplomacy . It further provided access to markets increasing economic opportunities to a group of individuals often discriminated against for their perceived limitations. PAS also screened a post-funded documentary on the daily challenges of disabled individuals in Niger.
