In honor of the International Day of the Girl on October 11, Ambassador Eunice Reddick hosted an event at her home for six young Nigerien women who had participated in the Women2Women leadership program in the U.S. Ambassador Reddick and the girls discussed the importance of girls’ access to education. Did you know that only 15.52% of girls in Niger complete secondary school, compared to 25.23% of boys?
The girls’ participation in the exchange program was sponsored by the U.S. embassy in Niamey.
