
On February 17, the Information Resource Center of the American Cultural Center hosted a discussion on “The Contribution of African-Americans to World Culture” in celebration of Black History Month. The discussion moderator, Dr. Amadou Seibou Adamou (a lecturer at the University of Abdou Moumouni Dioffo of Niamey), highlighted some major inventions and contributions made by African-Americans in science, agriculture, sports, music, medicine, and politics. The Public Affairs Officer Marissa Scott delivered opening remarks. This discussion session is one of several events held at the American Cultural Center to celebrate Black History Month.
