Major General Courtney Carr, The Adjutant General of the Indiana National Guard, accompanied by Brigadier General de Milliano, AFRICOM Deputy Director for Strategy, Engagement, and Programs, will lead a delegation to Niger from March 18-21, 2019. MG Carr and the delegation will meet with senior military officials of the Nigerien Defense Forces to discuss security in the Sahel and reaffirm the United States’ continued commitment to the State Partnership Program, which began in 2017. The delegation will visit Nigerien Defense Force training facilities for medical, logistics, and basic training in Niamey and Nigerien Air Base 201 and training facilities in Agadez.
