Through the use of the Department of State Bureau of Economic Affairs Business Facilitation Incentive Funds (BFIF), Economic and Commercial Assistant Samaila Salifou escorted a five member business delegation to the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago, Illinois from March 18 – 21. Participants had the opportunity to meet with business professionals, discuss possible deals, and undertake numerous networking opportunities. The Chicago Home and Housewares Show offered the opportunity to foster relationships between the Nigerien businesses and U.S.-based entrepreneurs and exposed Nigerien business people to the U.S. products available to them. The Nigerien business officials’ meetings with prospective partners lay the ground for future contacts.
