Public Diplomacy Section organized an Exchange Gala and Certificate Ceremony

The Public Diplomacy Section of the United States Embassy organized a Gala dinner on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the Grand-Hôtel in Niamey with the presentation of certificates to the recipients of the FY22 education and exchnage programs: African Academy of Engagement Civic (ACEA); International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP); Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI); EducationUSA Scholar Program (ESP).

Public Diplomacy Officer Lily Fryer reminded the alumni that one of the most important things you can do as an alumnus, is share what your learned during your programs, after these programs have ended. She added that it is also key that you network, share ideas, and collaborate with alumni from different programs.

After the speeches of the various representatives of each of the programs, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., (CDA, a.i.) Susan N’Garnim addressed the recipients, urging them to continue to work together as an exchnage alumni network. She expressed that this networking opportunity will lead to closer ties between the present recipients and their predecessors, as well as a stronger national network.
