The U.S. Embassy informs U.S. citizens of the ongoing risks of travel in Niger related to terrorist activity, kidnappings, and violent crime, especially in the Tillaberi and Diffa regions.

Review your personal security plans, remain aware of your surroundings, including local events, and monitor local news stations for updates.  Be vigilant and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security.

The Department of State warns of the risks of travel to Niger in its Travel Warning for Niger.
