
To mark the International Education Week (November 17-21), the American Cultural Center hosted various speakers to talk about issues of interest to English language teachers, educators, high school students, members of English Language Clubs, and members of the public. The main topics discussed were: Studying in the U.S.; Funding your Studies; Learning English Skills for Studying; the personal experience of a Fulbright scholarship alumnus; Online English Language Resources, among others. The Embassy’s EducationUSA Adviser was hosted on TAL TV along with a few members of the Competitive College Club to discuss the process of admissions into U.S. universities. The week long celebrations culminated in a prize ceremony for the winners of the 2014 International Education Week Quiz.
