On June 12, the Public Affairs Section hosted a “Celebration of Youth Leadership.” Organized in conjunction with the 2014 and 2015 MWF YALI participants, the reception recognized young Nigerien leaders who participated in the 2015 Upstander International Youth Leadership Institute (led by Omekongo Dibinga and hosted at the American Cultural Center). It was also the official “goodbye” party for the 2015 MWF YALI fellows. The celebration featured a video introducing the 2015 MWF YALI fellows to the press, remarks from the Ambassador and PAO, and hip-hop, spoken word, and musical performances.
