On March 18th, PD screened the movie “Akeelah and the Bee (French version) as part of the celebration of Women History Month. Attendees including young students and their parents enjoyed the movie.
Film: Lady Day: The Many Faces of Billie Holiday
On April 1st, PD screened the movie Lady Day- The Many Faces of Billie Holiday Film Screening for the English Club of Niamey to launch our Jazz Appreciation Month celebrations. The film, which is in English, gave the club members a chance to improve their listening comprehension while also exposing them to the rich history of one of America’s great music forms – jazz.
